What each season means

Open
You can light an outdoor fire without a permit. Keep it small, keep water nearby, and never leave it.

Restricted
You need a fire permit for outdoor fires. Gas barbecues and pizza ovens are fine without one.

Prohibited
No outdoor fires at all. Existing permits are cancelled until the season changes.
